Digital Photography – The Roots

In 1957 Russell Kirsch of the United States National Bureau of Standards developed a rotating drum that would allow images to be scanned. This was the start of digital photography. The first image to be scanned using this device was a picture of Kirsch’s son. Photography was still a new art art form full of wonderment. Now the digital era was just starting and as we know, would turn into a new ever evolving world.

Nature photography seems to have grown in popularity as the rise in digital cameras has continued to grow. As the quality of these cameras get better, the photographs hitting the web have become more and more beautiful.
