In 1957 Russell Kirsch of the United States National Bureau of Standards developed a rotating drum that would allow images to be scanned. This was the start of digital photography. The first image to be scanned using this device was a picture of Kirsch’s son. Photography was still a new art art form full of wonderment. Now the digital era was just starting and as we know, would turn into a new ever evolving world.
One of the great treasures of Landscape Photography is that you get to spend time outdoors enjoying nature. Take the time to explore the scene. Investigate all angles and really get to know your shoot. There are no short cuts to discovery, take your time to figure out what makes your scene unique and how you can present that in your photograph.
